what are these dry patches on my arms?

i have these patches on my arms and chest. they seem to start off as dry, slightly red patches (i think), and the patches all over me are slightly raised, like goosebumps, and are whiter than the rest of my skin, so my skin looks patchy. i’ve tried eczema creams, but they don’t do anything. my diet is good, and i have never suffered any skin problems before. does anyone know what this is?

It could possible be Tinea Versicolor. It’s a skin condition. Google it to see if that sounds like you. If so, get Selsun blue. It’s a dandruff shampoo, and wash your skin with it often. I have this skin condition right now actually on my neck :(. I’ve had it before and it went away but now it’s back. It’s caused by sweaty skin I think. When I had it the first time, I was prescribed this medicine, and he told me to use the shampoo. I don’t have the medicine anymore, so I think I’m going to the doctors and get more. But I’ve heard that the shampoo alone, (if you wash it with a lot and leave it for a minute or so, the rinse it) will get rid of it..not sure if it’s rid of it temporarily or not though. Hope this helps!!
