It is a waste of money!!!! Go talk to your doctor about presciption diet pills
I used it last year and it was a waste of money. I have snce found out that the average weight loss on hoodia is less than a pound per week and its not a healthy way to lose weight anyway. if losing some pounds of any description and inches is what you want then I would suggest you use a diet that is all natural and is rich in protein and vitamins, which is what the FDA recommends. I used a protein based diet after a friend who had lost a lot of weight with this recommended it to me. All the way through you feel great and energized, you also get great coaching and support along the way. The people are very friendly and gave me lots of great advice. I needed to lose 40 pounds and I did so with no problems. The products really work and you feel great whilst losing weight. I lost all my weight in less than four months and they have helped me to keep it off. I would definitely recommend using them. My sister did this also and lost 76 pounds in five months (She works out, I don’t). There is no pressure and they will even send you a load of free samples so you can try before you buy. The samples were the thing that initially convinced me that this was the right diet for me. You also a get a free complete health consultation with the samples, I just paid the postage and handling, but for what I got it was well worth it. You just go to to register your details to get the free samples and the free advice etc and then they just call you up and ask you a few questions. It was so easy. Their main site is and you can see all the products and packages and order from their. Its nice to have contact with real people who care about you losing weight and improving your health. I am in better health now than I have ever been thanks to these products and I know that I will continue to keep the weight off with the help I have received. I hope this helps.
Tonya:
Before I comment on hoodia patches, let me briefly explain what hoodia does (and doesn’t do) because it’s important to understand so that you have realistic expectations. I
n a nutshell, hoodia is simply an all-natural appetite suppressant. All the marketing and advertising hype would have you believe it is some kind of magic weight loss pill! Unfortunately, there is no truth to it. It doesn’t increase metabolism, burn fat, or anything of the like. It just tricks your brain into thinking you are full. The idea behind hoodia diet pills is that if you feel full, you’ll eat less. Thus, you’ll lose weight.
The other thing to keep in mind is that not everyone responds to hoodia. We’re all wired differently so what works for one person may not work for another. So while hoodia might be very effective for one person, it may do absolutely nothing for you.
Also, it can take several hundred milligrams of hoodia per day to work effectively. Some experts and doctors say it can take between 2,250-3,000mg of hoodia gordonii per day. That being said, let’s take a look at hoodia patches…
The sellers of hoodia patches will claim that a patch is more effective than diet pills because you’ll get a slow release of hoodia gordonii into the bloodstream throughout the day. The end result is you’re appetite will be suppressed throughout the day! How great that would be if it were actually true.
The theory behind the hoodia patch is that the hoodia gordonii bypasses the stomach and reaches the bloodstream directly through the skin, resulting in quicker and more effective appetite suppression. The reality is it doesn’t work. There hasn’t been one scientific or clinical study that shows hoodia patches work.
The other issues with hoodia patches is that they are made supposedly with a hoodia extract, where the powdered form of the plant is soaked in a liquid solution to extract the active ingredients. The patches are then soaked in this liquid and are dried. These extracts are inferior forms of other types of hoodia such as hoodia gordonii powder (found in capsules).
Second, and more importantly, there just isn’t enough hoodia gordonii in these patches to make a bit of difference. As I mentioned before, it can take several hundred milligrams of hoodia per day to work. Each patch probably contains less than 100mg of hoodia gordonii. You’d be going through a lot of patches just to get at 1,500mg, which is considered the minimum amount of hoodia gordonii to suppress appetite.
The one way you can tell there is very little, if any, hoodia gordonii in these hoodia patches is by just looking at the price of them. Authentic hoodia gordonii is very expensive. Most of these hoodia patches can be found for less than $20 per month! A bottle of authentic hoodia gordonii diet pills will cost you a minimum of $32.
The bottom line is this…DO NOT BUY hoodia patches as they are totally ineffective and a waste of your money. If you are serious about trying hoodia, I strongly encourage you to read the article I’ve provided a link to below. The article highlights the 13 things to look for when you buy hoodia. By following the guidelines, you’ll be able to find authentic hoodia supplements that will actually work. They’ll be more expensive than patches, but when it comes to hoodia, you get what you pay for!
That same site that article is found on provides a wealth of detailed information on hoodia - including recommendations of the best brands.
Best of luck to you.
