What kind of diet should I follow to acheive this look-longer and leaner?
I am a female that weighs 155 lbs., down from 172. In high school I weighed 132, but still had patches of major muscle, like calves that wouldn’t budge, but also patches of major fat, like hips, thighs, and stomach, very stocky. I was very active in tennis, ballet, and did some cardio. Recently, I pretty much been following a more protein than carbs diet, doing 3 weight training sessions, 6 cardio sessions, a dance, Pilates, or yoga class occasionally to get off the weight I did. However, this guy I work with that runs at least 20 minutes a day and eats nothing but carbs…his lunch is like pasta, a bagel, frozen yogurt and a cookie! But his body is exactly what I’d like to achieve, long and lean and not overly muscular. He was pretty thin to begin with. Should I eat carbs and just do cardio? I’d like to loose some of the muscle I have as well as more fat. I don’t see my trainer for another week and a half, so I’d like to get some ideas before that. Thanks a lot.

I am desperate to lose weight, I must have something wrong with me because I go to the gym 3 times a week and swimming twice a week, I eat really healthily but I have never lost 1 pound. I am 3 stone over my ideal weight so am about to try Hoodia patches (I dont like tablets!) - has anyone got any diet/weight loss secrets and success stories?

When quitting smoking, how can I maintain or actually lose weight?
I am starting the patch today and was wondering if anyone out there has successfully quit smoking without gaining weight and/or actually was able to diet and lose weight during the process.
I have tried to quit smoking a bunch of times and I really need to go for it again. My blood pressure is up and I just can’t breathe right anymore. Typically, however, I gain weight when I try to quit and I cannot afford to gain any more. I need to get rid of this winter packing and the winter packing of many years before in order to be healthy again.
I would appreciate any tips that people who have been in the same situation can give to me. Also, I would like to know if the typical weight gain associated with smoking cessation is due entirely to eating habits or if there is a physiological basis for weight gain despite a healthy diet and exercise. Any information that anyone can give will be helpful.

what is causing these dry patches of skin under my eyes and just under my eyebrow?
over the last month i have notices red patches of dry skin around my eyes. I moisturise regurlary, and have not changed my diet or makeup. Anyone got any ideas.
