Oscar fish has a small pink patch under mouth?

My oscar (3-4 inches) has recently lost a small patch of skin under its mouth, or just has a pinkish patch. Should I worry, or just let it heal?
Also, would a 35 gallon tank be ok for an oscar, It’s all I can fit.

In reply to the answer regarding changing the patch, the 1st day I had the patch on for approx 13hrs and the 2nd day I put a new one on for around 12 hours and this one burnt my skin.
